Authority of Statement of Faith;
The Statement of Faith does not exhaust the extent of our faith. The Bible itself is the sole and final source of all that we believe. We do believe, however, that the following Statement of Faith accurately represents the teaching of the Bible and, therefore, is binding upon all members. All ministries, messages, and methods used in or endorsed by the church shall be in complete agreement with the Statement of Faith.
The Bible: We believe the Holy Scriptures of the Old and New Testament to be the verbally and plenary inspired Word of God. The Scriptures are inerrant, infallible and God-breathed and, therefore are the final authority for faith and life. The Scriptures shall be interpreted according to their literal grammatical-historical meaning. II Tim 3:16; II Peter 1:20,21; John 16:13
The Godhead: We believe that there is one God, the Creator and Sustainer of the universe, eternally existing in three persons: God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit. Matt. 28:19; Deut 6:4; Col. 1:16-17, II Cor 13:14, Eph 6:23-24
The Person and Work of Christ: We believe that; Jesus Christ is the Eternal Son of God, became man, without ceasing to be God, in His Virgin birth, in His sinless life, in His miracles, vicarious and atoning death, in His bodily resurrection, in His ascension to the right hand of the Father where He is our Representative, Intercessor, and Advocate, and in His personal physical return in power and glory. Luke 1:35; John 1:1-3, 14; II Cor. 5:21; I Cor. 15:20; Heb 9:24; Phil 2:5-8
The Person and Work of the Holy Spirit: We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person who convicts the world of sin, of righteousness, and of judgment; and that He is the Supernatural Agent in regeneration, baptizing all believers into the body of Christ, indwelling and sealing them unto the day of redemption. John 16:8-11; Rom 8:9; I Cor 12:12-14; II Cor 3:6; Eph 1:13-18
Mankind: We believe that man was created in the image and likeness of God; but that in Adam's sin the human race fell, inherited a sinful nature, and became alienated from God. Man is totally depraved and, of himself utterly unable to remedy his lost condition. Gen 1:26-27; Rom 5:12, 6:23; Eph 2:1-3, 4:17-19
Salvation: We believe that salvation is the gift of God brought to man by grace through the work of the Holy Spirit and received by personal faith in the Lord Jesus Christ, (the Death Burial, and Resurrection, and Ascension) whose precious blood was shed on Calvary for the forgiveness of our sins. We believe that the redeemed, once saved, are kept by God's power and are thus secure in Christ forever. Eph 2:8-10; John 3:16; John 10:27-30; Rom 6:23; Rom 8:1, 38-39, I Cor 15:3-4
The Believers Two Natures: Every child of God possesses two natures, the one entirely corrupt, the other holy. These two natures are contrary the one to the other. By the Power of the Holy Spirit there may be constant victory over the corrupt nature. Rom. 7:16, 17; Rom 8:12, 13; I Cor. 15:57, 58; Gal 5:17, 18
Separation: We believe that all the saved should live in such a manner as not to bring reproach upon their Savior and Lord; and that separation from all religious apostasy, all worldly and sinful pleasures, practices and associations is commanded of God. Rom 12:1, 2; II Cor. 6:14, 7:1
The Church: We believe that the True Church is made up of all those who have been saved through faith in Christ Jesus. We believe in the autonomy of the local church, free of any external authority or control, and that it is God's established institution for His work in this Day of Grace. Acts 2:46, 13:1-4, 15:19-31, Rom 16:1, 4, I Peter 5:1-4
We believe that baptism for every believer is commanded by our Lord, but that it has no saving merit, it is a first step of obedience and identification. We practice baptism by immersion, believing this mode most faithfully represents what baptism symbolizes. Matt 3:13-17, 28:19; Acts 2:41-47; Rom 6:4
We believe that every believer should remember the Lord's death by partaking of the Lord's Supper. It is the Lord's table and is for all born-again believers. We believe that the Lord's table is a memorial to the Lord and has no saving merit. Luke 22:14-20; I Cor 11:23-26
The Coming of Christ: We believe in that Blessed Hope, the personal, imminent return of Christ who will rapture His church (those asleep in Him will be resurrected bodily and caught up together with the living saints) prior to the seven-year Tribulation period. Following the time of Tribulation, Christ will personalty and visibly return with His saints, to establish His earthly Messianic Kingdom, promised to the nation Israel. Ps 89-3-4, Dan 2:31-45, Zech 14:4-11, I Thess 4:13-18, Rev 19:11-16, 20:1-6
Eternal State: We believe that the fate of the unredeemed (unsaved) is eternal conscious punishment in hell, and that after the millennial reign of righteousness, the lost will be raised unto eternal damnation which is the lake of fire. The reward of the redeemed (saved) is eternal consciousness with the Lord in glory. Rev 20:11-15, Matt 25:46, Rom 6:23, II Cor 5:8
Satan: We believe that Satan is a person, created by Almighty God, and is the father of sin. We believe he is the enemy of God and all mankind, and he is going about seeking whom he may devour. We believe that he shall be eternally punished in the lake of fire. Rev 20:10, I Peter 5:8, Isa 14:12-17, Mal 4:2-11
Creation: We believe that God spoke and the heavens, earth and all there is came into being. Creation took six 24 hour days and was perfect. Genesis 1:2; Romans 1:2, 8:20-22
Human Relationships: We believe that God ordained the joining of one man and one woman in marriage. We believe that any sexual intimacy is to occur only within the confines of this union and than any sexual activity outside of this union is sin. For example (but not all inclusive) any form of homosexuality, lesbianism, bisexuality, bestiality, incest, fornication, adultery, pornography and other practice that deviates from God's gift of sex in marriage is sin. Gen 2:24; 19:5, 13; Rom 1:26-19; I Cor 5:1, 6:9, I Thess 4:1-8; Heb 13:4
Family Relationships: We believe that men and women are spiritually equal in position before God but that God ordained distinct and separate spiritual function for men and women in he home and church. The husband is to be the leader of the home, and men are to be the leaders (Pastor, elders, and deacons) of the church. Gal 3:28,29; Col 3:18, I Tim 2:8-15, 3:4-5, 12
Marriage, Divorce and Remarriage: We believe that marriage is ordained by God and is therefore a sacred institution. It pictures the union of Christ and His Church and as such must never be taken lightly. We believe that God has ordained the joining of one man and one woman in the sacred institution of marriage, we believe that God disapproves of divorce and that marriage is to continue until one of the spouses dies. Divorce and remarriage is regarded as adultery except on the grounds of fornication. While we do not promote divorce and remarriage we recognize that through God's forgiveness, a divorced or remarried person may be greatly used of God for Christian service. Gen 2:24; Eph 5:23-32; II Cor 6:14-17; I Peter 5:1-5; Mal 12:14-17; Matt 19:3-12; Rom 7:1-3, I Tim 3:1,2 Titus 1:6

“‘You shall love the Lord your God with all your heart, and with all your soul, and with all your mind.’ This is the great and foremost commandment. The second is like it, ‘You shall love your neighbor as yourself.’ On these two commandments depend the whole Law and the Prophets.”
